In the past several months, the sports community has been very active to enter the world of crypto and Metaverse. Recently, the Manchester City Soccer Club, the sixth most valuable soccer team, has reportedly closed a multimillion-dollar deal with its official cryptocurrency exchange partner OKX, earlier known as OKEx.
The soccer club and the crypto exchange have earned fame in their respective fields. Man City is at the top of the Premier League Table, and according to CoinGecko, OKX is the world’s second-largest crypto exchange in terms of spot trading volume. Therefore, this deal is significant for the sports community.
The deal is a multi-year partnership and is the first of its kind for OKX. It includes both Manchester City’s men’s and women’s teams along with esports operations. The deal also incorporates a presence of both the 55,000-seat Etihad Stadium and the 7,000-person capacity Academy Stadium. Even though the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, it is known that OKX will partner with Manchester City Soccer Club for future projects.
