The “Stand With Crypto” campaign, initiated by cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, aims to convene potential presidential contenders in 2024 to deliberate on blockchain technology and digital assets.

On December 11, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Dean Phillips, the Democratic candidate, will appear in person in New Hampshire to discuss concerns pertaining to digital assets, Stand With Crypto announced on its website on December 4.

Former President Donald Trump, independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Republicans Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Doug Burgum were among the invited candidates.

According to Stand With Crypto, this unique opportunity will give candidates a platform to address the blockchain and cryptocurrency community in New Hampshire, as well as a chance to hear directly from each presidential contender. They additionally said:

“The topics will not be limited to crypto-specific issues. Instead, this forum is designed to enable candidates to address the crypto and blockchain community on a range of policies in advance of the New Hampshire Primary.”

One of the first primaries for the 2024 US presidential election will take place in New Hampshire on January 23. Many pollsters and political analysts view this as a preview of how the election may play out in November. It is anticipated that US President Joe Biden will represent the Democratic Party.

President Biden was not included on the event website as either “invited” or “confirmed.” Trump hasn’t participated in a Republican Party debate prior to the 2024 election as of yet.

Voters’ attention may or may not be drawn to cryptocurrency by the forum on December 11, which is scheduled approximately one month before the primary. While other candidates, such as Kennedy Jr. and Ramaswamy, have made digital assets a central campaign theme, front-runners Biden and Trump hardly ever discuss blockchain technology or cryptocurrency in public.

On December 1, El Salvador’s outgoing president, Nayib Bukele, announced his resignation in order to seek reelection in 2024. Bukele has supported the government’s purchases of Bitcoin on several occasions and pushed for the adoption of cryptocurrency as legal cash in Central America.
