Nvida’s new Omniverse

Nvidia

At Computex 2024, NVIDIA chief Jensen Huang said, “The next wave of AI is here. Robotics, powered by physical AI, will revolutionize industries.” Physical AI are the models that understand instructions and autonomously perform tasks in the real world. To help companies in the development of Physical AI, Nvidia released Omniverse, a platform developed for real-time collaboration and simulation by forming digital twins.

Digital twins are virtual carbon copies of the physical objects or environment where the robot can be tested to fit in the real world. This virtual world could create multiple scenarios for the robot to be trained and help it perform the task effectively in the real world. In all these scenarios, the Multimodal LLMs also play an important role by enabling the robots to learn and helping them become aware of the world around them.

Atom Limbs developed a new AI bionic arm.

Atom Limbs is an AI bio startup on a mission to develop a mind-controlled prosthetic AI bionic arm. The tech behind this is very interesting; they attach electrodes to the patient’s disabled body parts to detect signals from the brain and use this data to train their machine-learning algorithm. After this, users can use their prosthetic arm with just their mind, as if it were a natural part of their body. This new technology can become a ray of hope for millions of physically disabled people around the globe and help them to live a normal life.

Kling, a new rival of Sora

Developed by the Chinese company Kuaishou Technology, Kling AI is a groundbreaking text-to-video technology that has been trending on the internet since its release. This new AI model can generate high-quality two-minute videos in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The output is so real that it is hard to differentiate between the real and AI-generated clip. Kling AI is powered by 3D Variational Autoencoder (VAE) technology, which helps it with face and body construction, limb movement, and detailed expression. Paired with the laws of physics and AI frameworks, this model can generate a high-quality video and surpass OpenAI’s Sora model.

Alibaba’s Qwen 2-72B tops in the LLM Leaderboard

Nvidia Is Leading The Charge In The Ai Boom

The Chinese tech giant Alibaba’s new LLM, Qwen 2-72B, has outperformed many open-source LLMs in the leaderboard. The Qwen 2 is a series of AI models developed on the Miture of Experts(MoE) architecture, containing models with 0.5 billion to 72 billion parameters. In addition, Qwen 2-72B has context lengths of up to 128K tokens, which helps it generate the text. It also supports more than 27 languages and Group Query Attention, which creates a balance between computational efficiency and model performance. Trained on Alibaba Cloud’s optimized datasets, the large-size Qwen2-72B model has outperformed other leading open-source models, such as Llama and Mixtral, in 15 benchmarks, including language understanding, language generation, multilingual capability, coding, mathematics, and reasoning.

ChatGPT went down

Nvidia Is Leading The Charge In The Ai Boom

Recently, the world has seen an AI apocalypse. All the major LLMs, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude, went down simultaneously. This happened because ChatGPT was full of capacity, which caused many users to be forwarded to Claude and Perplexity, making both sites over capacity for a short time. Soon, these issues were solved by the companies, bringing the LLMs back on track.

Elon Musk Email Leak

CNBC recently revealed, based on a leaked email between Elon Musk and Nvidia, that Musk is planning something big for xAI. In that leaked email, Musk was ordering AI chips and GPUs from Nvidia, and instead of shipment to Tesla, they shipped them to X. All these H100 GPUs would be used to train the xAI’s chatbot, “Grok” and make it more accurate and efficient. Recently, a piece of code also leaked from Grok’s codebase, which shows that xAI will soon release an image generation feature in Grok. Looks like Musk is using the $6 billion of funding wisely.
