According to a press statement from Monumental Sports Entertainment (MSE), the U.S.-based crypto exchange FTX US has signed on four additional major American sports teams through collaboration with their management business.

“We are ecstatic to be working with FTX to deliver the top cryptocurrency exchange to the most devoted and sophisticated fans in the country,” said Jim Van Stone, President, Business Operations & Chief Commercial Officer of Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

“The integration of blockchain technology into the sports experience has just begun, and together we will progress to an altogether new frontier that will enthral fans in ways they can’t even comprehend right now.”

MSE and its assets are now exclusive crypto exchange and non-fungible token (NFT) partners for FTX US, which has a long list of brands on its sports and entertainment-focused NFT marketplace, which opened on August 2.

The Washington Wizards men’s basketball team, Washington Mystics women’s basketball team, Capital City Go-Go basketball team, and Washington Capitals hockey team are among the four professional sports teams that have recently joined FTX US’s roster. In addition, FTX US now has access to the Washington District Gaming and Caps Gaming professional e-sports teams, as well as the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

The new relationship with FTX US is the crypto firm’s second sports partnership this month.

FTX US announced a partnership with the Golden State Warriors on December 14 to become the basketball team’s primary marketplace for upcoming NFT sales. As part of the deal, the Warriors will create and issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs), with FTX US as the team’s primary digital asset launch centre.

On November 3, FTX US’s parent firm announced the addition of the University of Kentucky basketball team to its platform.

FTX.US will pay the UKY basketball players in USD as part of the arrangement, and they will be able to generate and profit from their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sold on the FTX NFT marketplace. In addition, FTX.US will donate to a charity selected by the UKY basketball players.
