Key Takeaways:

  • FTX joins with KSE to raise funds for Ukrainian civilians.
  • They are looking to raise USD 10,000,000.
  • People can also donate to the cause using cryptocurrencies.

The CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, Sam Bank Fried, has posted on Twitter that the organisation has joined hands with the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). The collaboration aims to raise an amount of USD 10,000,000 to supply essential things to the Ukrainian residents.

Since the Russian invasion, Ukraine has been receiving help in donations worldwide. The country also started accepting donations in Bitcoin, and there has been a surge ever since. Last week, Ukraine received $3 million in a single bitcoin donation. Elliptic shared a report that within 2 hours, a Kyiv-based NGO raised a fund worth $400,000.

KSE, along with several Ukrainian organisations and state-owned companies, is launching a campaign for humanitarian aid.

“The aim is to purchase necessary non-military supplies, first aid and protective kits for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian Paramedic Association, and the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces – – mostly civilians who have volunteered in their country’s time of need – to shield them against Russian aggression.”

Donators can raise their support via Card payment, Bank Transfer, and crypto. KSE will be accepting a number of digital currencies as donations, including BTC, USDT, SOL, LTC, ETH, AVAX, and TRON.
