On the morning of December 14, Brinc Finance was hacked. However, Brinc Finance notified everyone about it through their tweet. Theyย tweeted,

An illegal transaction was discovered where staked BRC and gBRC were withdrawn from the staking pools on December 14, 2021, at 2:11 AM UTC. Our developers are investigating the incident, and we will keep the community updated on this incident as soon as we get news.”

They informed everyone that an external transaction could take burn to their BRC and sell off the DAI. The hacker was able to sell $1.1M DAI. The DAI was mostly converted to Eth, and it was further traced to the given address.

The root creator address seems to be this address:https://etherscan.io/address/0x7f18bb4dd92cf2404c54cba1a9be4a1153bdb078

They found that the root creator address also made a gnosis safe wallet tx at gnosisSafe and ethereum. Moreover, that same address had interactions with two eth ENS addresses, i.e., bitboyjay.eth and microbeat.eth.

Brinc Financeย has located the attacker’s wallet at etherscan and has flagged it as “Heist.” No one on the team owns it. They are working with their technical advisors to look into the matter and reached out to the hacker to return funds. They have notified every CEX they can think of.
