The Los Angeles Lakers are excited to announce a new official team partnership with Socios.com, the world’s premier blockchain platform for sports and entertainment.
Socios presents itself as a “fan interaction platform,” with virtual fan tokens providing a “digital pass to the teams you love” Fans can vote on club affairs using these tokens, which are stored in the Socios app.
Socios.com will be the presenting sponsor of the Los Angeles Lakers Facebook Group beginning in the 2021–22 season, where die-hard fans live and breathe all things Lakers. Fans may talk, publish, and watch information from other fans in the official fan group, as well as participate in virtual events sponsored by Socios.com. Fans will be able to vote on a range of team-related subjects via Socios.com, which will be posted across the Lakers Twitter polls. The use of highly visible TV signage will help to raise brand recognition for Socios.com.
Socios.com-sponsored content will appear in the Lakers’ Twitter polls, and the platform will also act as an official sponsor of the Lakers 2K gaming squad and G League franchise, the South Bay Lakers, in addition to broadcast-visible signage.
