AMC CEO Adam Aron said Monday evening that the meme Shiba inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency would soon be accepted for payment. AMC is the largest movie theatre chain in the United States, Europe, and the world. As of March 31, the firm owned or controlled 950 cinemas with 10,500 screens across the globe.
He stated that Bitpay, a cryptocurrency payment service, had agreed to support Shiba Inu, mainly because he requested it. As a result, AMC will accept SHIB for online movie tickets and concession payments in around 60 to 120 days. AMC Theaters will be the first Bitpay customer to take Shiba Inu, according to Aron.
Since setting up a Twitter poll on October 29 asking his fans if AMC should take Shiba inu alongside Dogecoin (DOGE) and other cryptocurrencies, the AMC CEO has indicated that his organization has attempted to find a mechanism to accept SHIB. As a result, 87.6% of the 153,100 votes cast were in favor.

In March, Paypal launched a product called “Checkout with Crypto” that allows customers to pay for goods and services using their Paypal balance, in fiat cash or cryptocurrency.
