Igor Bogdanoff died at the age of 72, only six days after his twin brother Grichka. The Bogdanoff brothers, according to a famous crypto meme, were capable of shifting markets with a single phone call.

Grichka was reportedly admitted to the hospital on December 18 after contracting the new coronavirus. He died on December 28th.

Igor Bogdanoff went for the light on Monday, January 3, 2022, in peace and love, accompanied by his children and family,” according to a statement provided by Bogdanoff’s family via his agency, according to the Sun. His ex-wife, the novelist Amรฉlie de Bourbon-Parme, and their six children survive him.

They were well-known in their home France for their television careers, most notably co-presenting the science fiction series “Temps X” in the 1980s, as well as other sci-fi shows such as “Rayons X.”

After a YouTube channel called Bizonacci created a series of videos in which the Bogdanoffs controlled the markets to thwart retail crypto traders, the brothers, who earned doctorates in physics after penning a series of impenetrable papers later deemed to have little scientific value, became a running joke in crypto.

The Bogdanoff brothers joined in on the joke by claiming to have met Satoshi Nakamoto, the Bitcoin founder who goes by the alias Satoshi Nakamoto.

Grichka claimed to have contributed to the source code of bitcoin, according to the Sun. The siblings have also become associated with the cryptocurrency community.

The brothers were both unvaccinated, according to close acquaintances who talked to the French newspaper Le Monde. The family has not confirmed the brothers’ immunisation status or the official cause of death.
